    LAKELAND, Fla. - Throughout the month of July, Florida Southern College Athletics will release its list of team MVPs for the 2018-19 season. Each MVP was selected by the team's head coach, and the list includes some of the top student-athletes in the country. MVPs will be revealed each weekday during the month at 10 a.m., and a list of their scheduled release dates can be found below.

    CLEVELAND, Ohio - Florida Southern College finished 18th in the final 2018-19 NCAA Division II Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings, it was announced this week. The Moccasins made a combined 11 NCAA postseason appearances this past year, including top-10 finishes in men's golf (third), women's basketball (ninth) and women's lacrosse (ninth).

    MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College placed 71 student-athletes on the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll, the conference office announced on Wednesday. In addition to its 71 Honor Roll selections, Florida Southern had 27 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 grade-point average last semester.

The Moccasins (22-10) took the first two sets from the Argonauts (25-8) and rallied back from a late three-point deficit to earn a 28-26 fourth-set victory to advance to their eighth-straight regional semifinal.

Mattson, who was also named as a first team all-SSC selection, is the fifth Florida Southern volleyball student-athlete to win the SSC Player of the Year award and the first since Sara Stewart in 2000.

The Moccasins (21-10) earned their ninth-straight NCAA Tournament bid when selections were announced on Sunday evening and are coming off a massive upset of then No. 9 Tampa (3-1) in the regular-season finale on Saturday.

    LAKELAND, FL - Nicole Mattson and Rachael Martin each tallied double-digit kills as Florida Southern College volleyball snagged a huge upset over No. 9 Tampa on Senior Day at Jenkins Field House on Saturday. The Moccasins (21-10, 13-7 SSC) knocked off the Sunshine State Conference's top team as it took a 2-0 lead on the Spartans (27-4, 17-3) and hung on in an extra-points fourth set to come up with a massive 3-1 victory.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College volleyball hit the 20-win mark for the seventh-straight year as it swept Rollins, 3-0, in Sunshine State Conference action on Friday night at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (20-10, 12-7 SSC) dominated the Tars (4-25, 1-18) with a stifling defensive performance that saw Florida Southern hold Rollins to a hitting percentage of just .021.
  • 16th-Ranked Palm Beach Atlantic Comes from Behind to Down Florida Southern in Four Sets Saturday

    WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. – Nicole Mattson led the Moccasins with 20 kills and added 18 digs, while Gabby Fresh and Bethany Besancenez each hit the 20-dig mark, but Florida Southern dropped a four-set decision to No. 16 Palm Beach Atlantic. The Moccasins (19-10, 11-7 Sunshine State Conference) took the first set 25-20, but the Sailfish (26-4, 15-4) won the next three, 25-21, 26-24, and 25-22 to claim the victory. That result gave the two teams a season split after the Moccasins had defeated the Sailfish 3-1 in Lakeland on September 28.
  • Moccasins Sweep Season Series of Sharks

    FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Florida Southern College volleyball completed the season sweep of Nova Southeastern on Friday night in Fort Lauderdale with a three-set victory. Tierra Porter and Nicole Mattson tallied 10+ kills each as the Mocs (19-9, 11-6) picked up their second three-set sweep of the Sharks (6-22, 4-14) this season.

The Moccasins (18-9, 10-6 SSC) overcame a slow start on offense to top the Eagles (17-9, 8-8) for the second time this season

The Moccasins (17-9, 9-6 SSC) saw their win streak end at four in a row while the Panthers (9-17, 4-11) won their third-straight contest.

The Moccasins (14-8, 9-5 SSC) bounced back from a loss on Friday to avenge a road loss to the Fighting Knights (11-10, 5-9) back in September.

    LAKELAND, FL - A furious rally late in the match proved to be too little, too late as Florida Southern College volleyball lost its first home contest in over a year in a 3-1 loss to Barry on Friday night in Sunshine State Conference action at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (13-8, 8-5 SSC) fell behind by two sets and nearly came back to force a fifth, but the Buccaneers (19-2, 11-2) were able to hang on for their fifth-straight win.

PETERSBURG, FL - Buse Ene and Tierra Porter each posted 14 kills as Florida Southern College volleyball rallied from a first-set loss to defeat Eckerd, 3-1, in Sunshine State Conference action on Tuesday night at the McArthur Center. The Moccasins (13-7, 8-4 SSC) also erased an eight-point deficit in the second set to sweep the season series with the Tritons (8-10, 3-8) and pick up their seventh win in their last eight contests.
