Cantor Breaks Own School Record in 5000-Meter at Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE - For the third consecutive meet, freshman Addison Cantor set the Florida Southern school record in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:39.65 to finish 20th out of 44 runners at the 2018 Pepsi Florida Relays here Thursday at the Percy Beard Track on the University of Florida campus.

Cantor first broke the school record with a 17:55.70 at the UT Ryan McCall Invite on March 2 to shatter the previous record of 18:20.94 set by Carolyne Kwambai at the UNF Osprey Challenge on April 18, 2009. In her next meet, Cantor topped her record by over 13 seconds with a 17:42.57 at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge on March 16, 2018.
