INDIANAPOLIS - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse has earned the No. 2 seed in the South Region of the 2019 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Tournament, the NCAA announced on Sunday evening. The Moccasins (16-3) enter the tournament following an OT loss to Tampa in the Sunshine State Conference tournament. Florida Southern finished the regular season on a seven-game winning streak after winning their fifth-straight Sunshine State Conference regular-season title.
The Mocs will face the No. 3 seed Rollins on Friday. The Mocs defeated Rollins in the regular season 16-11. The game will take place on the campus of the University of Tampa at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 10. The No. 1 seeded Spartans will take on the No. 4 seed Queens in the first round. Winners of the first round matchups will meet for the regional championship and a chance to head to the national tournament on the campus of Grand Valley State in Allendale, MI.
Both games will be played at Tampa with the first round on Friday, May 10, and the second round on Sunday, May 12.
