As a junior (2017-18)… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… WGCA All-American Scholar… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Florida Southern Athletic Director’s Scholar-Athlete award winner for women’s golf… SSC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for Sept. 18… Named the team’s Most Improved Player for the second year in a row… Ended the year ranked No. 57 in the Golfstat individual rankings… Played in all but one regular-season event, missing only the Saint Leo Invitational in the fall when the Moccasins participated only as individuals… Second on the team to Amanda Gartrell with a 76.67 stroke average, almost three strokes lower than her career average coming into the season… Had five tournament top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Lady Falcon Invitational (Sept. 16-17), which earned her the SSC Player-of-the-Week award… Shot a three-over par 147 (73-74) in that tournament featuring 57 golfers… Followed that with a two-over par 146 (75-71) one week later in the Battle at Old South (Sept. 23-24) where she tied for seventh in a field of 95… Finished 21st or higher in three other tournaments with at least 80 golfers… Had three under-par rounds, the first of her college career, all of them 71s in three different tournaments… Florida Southern’s top golfer in three tournaments: the Lady Falcon Invitational and the Battle at Old South in the fall, and the Barry University Invitational in the spring… Placed 34th at the Sunshine State Conference Championships (April 15-17) with a 235 (82-75-78)… Tied for 41st at the NCAA Division II Super Regional with a 236 (78-82-76)… Team counter in 19 of a possible 30 rounds and had the Mocs’ best score in seven of them.

As a sophomore (2016-17)… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Named the team’s Most Improved Player… One of three Moccasins to play in all 11 tournaments, the first two with the “B” team before playing the final nine in the regular lineup… Third on the team with a 78.00 stroke average and saw that fall to 76.50 in the final three tournaments… Picked up the Moccasins’ only individual win by capturing the Nova Southeastern GolfRank Invitational (Oct. 24-25) with an even-par 144 (72-72) and defeating Lynn’s Jenny Ayala in a 1-hole playoff with a birdie on the par-4 No. 10 hole… Had three rounds of even-par 72 during the season… Tied for 10th in a field of 71 golfers in her other top-10 finish at the Lady Falcon Invitational (Sept. 17-18)… Florida Southern’s top golfer in the GolfRank Invitational and was tied with Abbey Williams at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational… Tied for 17th at the Sunshine State Conference Championships with an 11-over par 227 (75-74-78) in her best 3-round tournament of the season… Team counter in 19 of her 22 rounds on the varsity squad.

As a freshman (2015-16)… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Played in eight of the 10 regular season tournaments either as a member of the Florida Southern “B” team (five times) or as an individual (twice, at the Guy Harvey Invitational in the fall and at the Bearcats Spring Classic in the spring)… Made her only appearance with the main team in the final tournament of the fall and was the Moccasins’ #2 golfer at the Saint Leo Women’s Invitational (Oct. 19-20) with a 158 (81-77), which tied her for 34th in a field of 86 and was only one shot behind teammate Abbey Williams… Had her best tournament finish in her first action of the spring when she tied for 20th out of 94 golfers at the Lady Moc Classic (Feb. 22-23) while playing with the “B” team… Had a final score of 231 (76-77-78) at the Lady Moc Classic… Team counter in 13 of her 14 rounds with the “B” team… Dropped her stroke average by nearly three strokes from the fall to the spring.

In high school… Joined the Moccasins as a home-schooled student from nearby Dover but played golf for Durant High School and coach Richard Sheffield… First Team All-Western Conference as a senior when she placed fifth in the district tournament, Second Team All-Hillsborough County as a junior, and First Team All-Western Conference as a sophomore… Won the Coach’s Award in her senior season while playing for Durant High School… Won the 2014 Major Championship for the girls’ 15-18 division on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour with a 2-day total of 150 (74-76)… Personal… Daughter of Barrett and Stephanie Higgins… Has one older sister (Olivia) and two younger sisters (Celia and Amelia)...  Celia is now attending Florida Southern as a freshman and is a member of the Moccasin softball team.
