SAINT LEO, FL – Amanda Gartrell had Florida Southern's best round again with a one-over 73 to finish tied for fourth, while Kolby McWilliams had a final-round 74 to give the Moccasins their two best scores on the final day of the Saint Leo Women's Golf Invitational.

Gartrell, who shot a 71 on Monday, never saw her score on either day move more than one shot over or one shot under par in the tournament. Her overall score of 144 (E) included three birdies in each round and made her one of only five golfers in the field of 65 to shoot even par or better. Tied with Saint Leo's Amanda Jakobsson, Gartrell was four strokes behind three golfers who tied for first at four-under par 140.

From that group, Tampa's Kiira Riihijarvi emerged as the individual champion by defeating Nova Southeastern's Michelle Ruiz in a 2-hole playoff. After each golfer tied the first hole, the par-3 No. 17 before Riihijarvi birdied the par-4 No. 18 for the win.

For much of Tuesday, McWilliams had Florida Southern's best score after starting her day with a birdie on the opening hole, the par-4 No. 11. She later came back from consecutive bogeys on 17 and 18 to play the front nine even, and went on to match the best round of her career with a 74. She finished tied for 35th with a 156.

Victoria Cangero and Shelby Lewis each shot a 76 on Tuesday, and both golfers were +2 on the front and +2 on back. Cangero finished her day with a birdie on the final hole, and Lewis nearly did the same with a birdie on her next to last. Cangero ended up in a tie for 18th with a 151, which was second to Gartrell among the 16 players competing strictly as individuals, and Lewis tied for 24th with a 153.

Ashley Zagers had the same overall score as Lewis after shooting a 77 in the second round. She was one-under for the final five holes, tying her with Cangero for the best score by a Moccasin down that closing stretch. Anna Millet turned in a 79 to shoot a 163 overall and tied for 48th.

Nova Southeastern won the team title by six shots over Saint Leo, and Tampa was third, finishing nine shots behind the winning Sharks.

Florida Southern wraps up the fall portion of its schedule on October 30 and 31 at the Newberry Invitational in Elgin, South Carolina.
