HONORS: First Team All-Sunshine State Conference designated player … Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll ... Played in all but three games and started in all 43 games she played ... Served as Florida Southern’s primary designated player where she made 35 starts ... Also started five games as a pitcher and three at first base ... Hit anywhere from third to sixth in the batting order, but her primary spots were fifth (19) and sixth (13) ... Tied for the team lead with Erica Morrissey with 18 RBI ... Second on the team to Morrissey with 10 extra-base hits (nine doubles and one triple) ... Her nine doubles were also second to Morrissey’s 16 ... In Florida Southern’s 24 conference games, finished third on the team in batting and led the Moccasins with 10 RBI ... Helped bring the Mocs back from a 4-1 deficit for a 10-5 win over Colorado Christian by going 2-for-2 with two doubles, a sac fly and two RBI, representing the first hits of her college career (Feb. 12) ... Delivered a 2-run triple that gave Florida Southern the lead in its next game and sparked a 7-0 win over Western Ontario (Feb. 16), and went 3-for-5 with a double, triple, walk and three RBI in that doubleheader ... The game against Colorado Christian and DH vs. Western Ontario started a streak of seven consecutive games with an RBI ... Four of her RBI put Florida Southern ahead in games the Moccasins eventually won ... Had seven multi-hit games (all with two hits) and a team-high five games with two RBI ... Had five other games with either a hit and a walk, or two walks ... Had one stretch of four straight multi-hit games, all of them in conference, with two at Lynn (Feb. 20) and two more against Rollins (Feb. 26-27) ... Had her best conference series against Rollins, going 5-for-9 with two RBI and a stolen base (Feb. 26-27) ... Hit safely in all three games of that series and the series at Nova Southeastern (April 15-16) ... Made her first start as a pitcher against Flagler and gave up just two runs, but took the loss in a 3-1 win by the Saints (March 2) ... Also started conference games against Barry and Saint Leo in the pitcher’s circle ... Did not allow an earned run in five of her six relief outings, or any runs in four of them ... Had nine assists without an error as a pitcher, helping the Florida Southern pitching staff turn in a .988 fielding percentage (one error in 82 chances), which was their highest since at least 1990.

In high school… 2015 graduate of South Plantation High School and was a 4-year starter for Robyn Handler… Selected as the Broward County Player-of-the-Year as a senior by the Sun-Sentinel and the Miami Herald… Class 8A All-State as a junior and senior… Graduated as South Plantation’s all-time leader in home runs (19) and RBI (118)… 4-time member of the Sun-Sentinel All-County Team (second team as a freshman and sophomore, first team as a junior and senior)… Named second team all-county as a sophomore by the Miami Herald and first team as a junior and senior… During her senior season, hit .522 with a .637 on-base percentage, 11 doubles, four triples, nine home runs and 33 RBI… Went 3-0 with a 1.57 ERA as a pitcher, striking out 25 batters and walking five in 22.1 innings… As a junior, hit .541 with seven home runs and 33 RBI… As a sophomore, owned a .562 batting average with three home runs and 32 RBI… National Honor Society member who graduated in the top 10 percent of her class… Played travel ball with the Sunrise Thunder from 2007-15 and was coached by Dennis Lawdan… Personal… Daughter of Karen and Jan Traña… Has one younger brother (Mark)… Lists her favorite teams as the Detroit Tigers and Miami Marlins… Born 5/23/97… Computer Science major.
