Levassiur Adds Nine For 2019 Campaign

LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College's men's cross country and track head coach Matt Levassiur has announced the addition of nine incoming runners to the cross country program for the upcoming 2019 season. The eight incoming freshman are composed entirely of runners from the state of Florida and will join a strong team of 10 returners fresh off a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship last December.

"The class of 2019 is my first recruiting class and going into the recruiting process, I knew that I wanted to stick to what had always made Florida Southern College cross country and track successful: locally-sourced, stellar student-athletes, looking for a competitive and collaborative collegiate environment," Levassiur said. "Not only are these some of the most decorated high school athletes Florida Southern cross country has ever recruited—seven state cross country qualifiers, three top-15 state finishes, eight state track podium finishes—but they're also among the highest achieving students as well."
