Ormsby Selected as FSC Men's Track MVP

Senior Bobby Ormsby has been named the FSC Men's Track Team MVP by Moccasin coach Stephanie Bylander.

Ormsby set the FSC school record in the 5000-meter event with a time of 14:37.76 at the Pepsi Florida Relays on March 29. He took first place honors in the 5000 with a 14:46.52 mark at the UT Ryan McCall Invitational on March 2 to record the fifth fastest time in Moccasin history. He also holds the third and fourth fastest times as well, having turned in a 14:50.57 time in 2015 and a 14:46.02 mark last season.

Ormsby also took first place in the 3000-meter race at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance Meet on Feb. 17. That time was the third fastest ever posted at FSC. The Fort Myers, Florida native posted the top two fastest 3000m times in 2015. Ormsby turned in the fourth-best 1500-meter time with a 3:51.60 at the UNF Invitational on April 27.

Ormsby was named to the USTFCCCA All-South Team in the 1500m and the 5000m and was a USTFCCCA South Region Top Performer in the 5000m. He was also selected as the recipient of the FSC Athletic Director Scholar-Athlete Award for Men's Track.
