Kemboi Just Misses School Record in 10,000-Meter

HILLSDALE, MI - The Florida Southern men's track team continued its season at the GINA Relays here at the Ken Herrick Track on the campus of Hillsdale College.

Festus Kemboi posted a 31:38.78 in the 10,000-meter championship race, just .24 seconds off the school record time of 31:38.54, set by Scott Mackley at the Walt Disney World Invitational on March 18, 2009.

Evan Quinones ran a 4:03.84 in the finals of the 1,500-meter championship run while Bobby Ormsby had a 14:47.01 time in the 5,000-meters championship, the fourth best time in program history.

In Friday's late results, Warran Grajalez was the only Moccasin to participate in day one of the meet, recording a 16:16.29 time in the 5,000-meter run (Open).
