DAYTONA BEACH - The Florida Southern men's track team competed Friday in three events at the Spikes Classic here on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. 

Warran Grajalez placed eighth in the 5000-meter with a time of 16:07.85. Next across the line for the Moccasins was Cody Van Natter at 16:18.27 followed by Everett Wagner (16:38.97), Pedro Cuervo (17:07.02), Christian Beauchemin (17:19.02), Brandon Williams (17:27.61), and Oswaldo Zapata (17:35.57).

In the 1500-meter run, Drake Baker was the top Moccasin finisher at 4:29.78 followed by Mikey Papa at 4:51.17. Baker also competed in the 200-meter with a time of 25.26.

Also on Friday, Evan Quinones participated in the 1500-meter run at the Florida Pepsi Relays in Gainesville. The junior runner was the top Division II finisher, placing 25th overall with a time of 3:53.23. Quinones' time was the fifth-fastest time in school history.
