Four Mocs Run in Georgia Tech Invitational, Quinones Sets School Record in 1,500 Meter Run

ATLANTA, GA – Four Moccasins competed in the Georgia Tech Invitational held here this weekend at the George C. Griffin Track on the Georgia Tech campus.

Evan Quinones was the lone Florida Southern runner in the 1,500 meter run, coming across with a 3:48.80 time to finished in third place. The time tops his own school record set in the 1,500 at the Florida Relays where he ran 3:50.25 to finish in 20th place. Ben Wiesel of Belmont took first place honors at the George Tech Invitational in the 1,500 with a time of 3:48.56 while Southeast Missouri State's Marc Maton was second with a time of 3:45.78.

Anthony Pollizzi led three Moccasins in the 5,000 meter run, finishing in 18th place with a time of 15:15.74 while Jose Perez turned in a time of 15:31.98 to take 25th place. Dean McGregor rounded out the trio with a 31st place finish and a 15:48.16 time.

Due to technical difficulties with the scoring on Friday, Georgia Tech was unable to provide results until Saturday.
