Moccasins Upset No. 12 Sailfish in First Win of Season

LAKELAND, FL - It was a statement first win of the season for Florida Southern College men's tennis on Saturday afternoon as they upset No. 12 Palm Beach Atlantic, 5-2. The Moccasins (1-5, 1-1) won the doubles point over the Sailfish (1-1, 0-1) while all of their four singles flights wins went to three sets.

The win is the first over a ranked opponent for the Mocs since March 7, 2016, when they won 5-4 over No. 32 Ferris State. Tim Becker earned his first wins of the season in the No. 2 singles flight and in the No. 2 doubles flight paired with Brian Pham. Miroslav Cvjetan continued to dominate in the No. 4 singles flight, improving to 3-0 in that spot and 4-2 overall in singles play.
