CollegeSwimming.com Preseason All-American… One of four seniors on this year’s team and one of only two who have competed all four years (Evan Coleman is the other)… Also one of Florida Southern’s five returning All-Americans who begins his senior year having won three individual awards (one First Team, two honorable mention) and four relay awards (three First Team, one honorable mention)… Returning national champion in the 200-medley relay, which the Moccasins won in 2016… Brought the Moccasins from behind in that race by swimming the final 50-yard freestyle leg in 19.47 seconds… Has competed at the National Finals in each of his first three seasons… School record holder in the 50-freestyle and part of a school record in the 400-freestyle relay… Helped Florida Southern win 14 relay races in his first three seasons and also has five individual wins in his career.

As a junior (2015-16)… First Team Academic All-American… National Champion in the 200-medley relay after swimming the 50-freestyle anchor leg… First Team All-American in the 100-back (5th place), 200-medley relay (1st place), 200-freestyle relay (4th place), and 400-freestyle relay (4th place)… Honorable Mention All-American in the 100-freestyle (14th place) and 800-freestyle relay (9th)… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… CSCAA Scholar All-American… First Team Academic All-District… Sunshine State Conference Male Scholar Athlete-of-the-Year… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… SSC Men’s Swimmer-of-the-Week for January 18… Florida Southern Athletic Director’s Scholar Athlete-of-the-Year award winner for men’s swimming… In addition to his All-American events at the National Finals, also competed in the 100-butterfly… One of eight Moccasins to swim in all nine meets, including the National Finals… One of the Mocs’ normal swimmers in the 100-backstroke, 200-backstroke, 100-butterfly, and the sprint freestyle races… Set the school record in the 50-freestyle at the Division II National Finals as the first Moccasin to break 20 seconds when he swam the leadoff leg of the 200-freestyle relay in 19.99 seconds… Two days after setting that individual record, helped the Moccasins break the school record in the 400-freestyle relay with a time of 2:55.35, swimming the anchor leg in that race… Picked up three individual wins (one in the 50-free, one in the 100-free, and one in the 200-back)… Part of four winning relay teams… Had two of his individual wins in one meet at Indian River State on January 15 in addition to one relay victory that same day… Ranked #1 on the Florida Southern times list in the 50-freestyle, was #2 in the 100-freestyle and 100-backstroke, and #3 in the 200-backstroke and 100-butterfly… Part of their top times in all three freestyle relay teams and the 200-medley relay.

As a sophomore (2014-2015)… Honorable Mention All-American in the 100-backstroke (12th place)… Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… CSCAA Scholar All-American… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… In addition to competing in the 100-backstroke, also took part in the 100-butterfly, the 50-freestyle and the 100-freestyle at the National Finals… One of eight Moccasins to take part in all nine meets, including the SSC Championships and National Finals… One of the Mocs’ normal swimmers in the 100-backstroke, 100-butterfly, and the sprint freestyle races and had NCAA provisional qualifying times in all four of those events… Helped three of the Florida Southern relay teams reach NCAA “B” times as well… Runner-up in the 100-backstroke to only teammate Marco Palacios at the Nova Southeastern Sharks Invitational and went on to finish third at the SSC Championships… Also placed fifth in the 100-butterfly at the Sharks Invitational and was the Mocs’ top performer in that event later in the year in a dual meet at Nova… Was runner-up in the 50-freestyle in three different dual meets where he trailed only another Florida Southern All-American, Allan Gutierrez… Second on the Florida Southern times list in the 100-backstroke.

As a freshman (2013-14)… CSCAA Scholar All-American… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Competed at the NCAA Division II National Championships in the 100-backstroke, 100-butterfly, and both the 50- and 100-freestyle… One of eight Moccasins to participate in all 11 meets including the NCAA Division II National Championships… Picked up two individual wins, one of them in the 50-freestyle and one in the 100-backstroke… Helped the Moccasins win five relay races, with those five wins coming in four different events… Though he did not compete in any of the relay races at the national championships, helped the Mocs achieve NCAA “B” times in four different relay events throughout the regular season… Second on Florida Southern’s times list in the 50-backstroke and third in the 100… Third on the times list in the 100-butterfly.
