MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern men's lacrosse freshman Sean Nolan earned conference recognition for his performance in the Mocs record-setting victory over Emmanuel. Nolan tied a program record with 12 points on Sunday afternoon. He was named Sunshine State Conference men's lacrosse offensive player of the week announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
He recorded five goals and assisted on seven goals. Nolan's 11 goals on the season lead the Mocs on offense. 12 points in a game and seven assists are the season high for the SSC in 2019 for their respective categories. Florida Southern set the NCAA D-II record for goals scored in a game with a 35-6 victory over Emmanuel on Sunday evening. The freshman from Westchester, NY also leads the SSC with 3.67 goals per game.
Nolan tied Dane Sorenson's 2014 record for the most points in a game by a Moc.
- Florida Southern will head to North Carolina this week for matchups at Wingate (March 6) and Mount Olive (March 9) before returning home to face Westminster (UT) on March 13.
