The Moccasins’ Cam Holding has been named to the All-Deep South Conference lacrosse team, while Chase Juelich and Seabrooke Carter both received honorable mention recognition. Selected by the Deep South Conference Coaches, the team was announced Monday.
Holding has started every game at attack leads the Moccasins with 39 goals and 46 points. He is the leading goal scorer in Division II. This season Holding has had nine multi-goal games and six games in which he scored at least four goals. Holding also is tied for third on the team with 23 ground balls.
This is the second straight year Juelich has been named to the team. He led the team with 42 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers and had one assist. Juelich started nine games for the Moccasins this season.
Carter, a midfielder, finished the regular season with 13 goals, five assists, and 14 ground balls. Carter had four multi-goal games, including his season high three goals against Merrimack.
In their second season of NCAA competition, the Moccasins were 3-8 overall, 2-3 in the DSC, and finished fourth in the conference. They will open the conference tournament Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Bryant Stadium when they host Rollins.
