Kim Crawford came to Florida Southern after playing two seasons at South Florida Community College. In 1993 she led the team in kills (510), hitting percentage (.337), blocks (160) and aces (90), as the Moccasins went 30-5. In 1994 she produced even better numbers in most of those categories, again leading the team in kills (591), hitting percentage (.429), blocks (131) and aces (61), while the Moccasins went 28-8. Her 1994 kill total is the third-best season total in school history and her 1994 hitting percentage is the second-best for a season. A two-time first-team All-America selection, Crawford also was the 1994 Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year and was selected to the SSC Silver Anniversary Team.
