The Mocs' all-time assists leader with 768, Jerry Johnson was the 1988 NCAA Division II Player of the Year. Playing from 1984 to 1988, Johnson finished his career as FSC's fifth all-time scorer with 1,662 points. He helped lead the Mocs to NCAA Division II Final Fours in 1986 and 1988. Winner of the Frances P. Naismith Award in 1986, emblematic of the nation's best college player, any division, under six-foot tall, Johnson played in more games (130) than any other Moccasin to that point. The 1988 graduate is also a member of the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame. His jersey, number 3, is retired.
