Frank DeSavino was a four-year performer in basketball and baseball for the Moccasins from 1952-56. He came to Florida Southern from New Jersey. In basketball, he was the second player in Moccasin history to score over 1,000 career points. His total of 1,052 points ranks 24th in FSC history. He led the team in scoring as a sophomore and a junior and was a second-team all-state selection as a senior. In 1955 he was named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. After his playing career at Florida Southern, he was a teacher and coach at the collegiate and high school level. Now retired, he currently lives in River Edge, New Jersey.
