Coaching men's golf at Florida Southern for 23 seasons, Charley Matlock led the Moccasins to seven NCAA National Championships in 1981, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1990, 1991 and 1995. FSC teams also finished as national runner-up four-times under Matlock and finished in the top five in 17 of his last 18 seasons. Three of his players won the NCAA Individual Championship including Tom Gleeton (1978), Tom Patri (1981) and Lee Janzen (1986). Matlock is a member of the Sunshine State Conference and East Tennessee State University Halls of Fame.
