A member of the All-America squad in 1982, Allison Avey capped her brilliant career as Florida Southern’s second all-time leader with 67 singles wins and 63 doubles wins. Her career record was 67-21 in singles and 63-19 in doubles and in 1983 she won a school-record 25 singles matches. Avey, a 1985 graduate of FSC, advanced to the NCAA national championship twice and she has two SSC singles titles in 1983 and 1985 to go with her 1983 doubles championship. Team MVP and first-team All-SSC as a senior, she led the Mocs to four consecutive league championships. In her freshman season, the Mocs placed seventh nationally.
