David Meagher joined the staff at Florida Southern College in 2019 as an assistant strength & conditioning coach, assisting with the development and programming of all strength and conditioning activities for Florida Southern’s 20 NCAA sponsored sports, club sports, and cheerleading.
Meagher joined the Mocs after spending a year and a half as an Assistant Sports Performance coach at Santa Clara University in California, a Division I institute in the West Coast Conference. While working with the Broncos, Meagher was responsible for the oversight of the strength and conditioning programs for Santa Clara’s men’s and women’s golf, women’s rowing, volleyball, beach volleyball, and women’s water polo programs.
A 2016 graduate of the University of Georgia, Meagher spent time as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach for the Bulldogs’ football and Olympic sports programs. He earned his master’s in kinesiology from UGA in 2017.
Meagher is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), holds a CPR, First Aid, and AED certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). He is currently pursuing his Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa).
He and his wife, Kim, reside in Lakeland.
