Alicia Rossow is in her third year as the Director of Wellness and her 10th year at Florida Southern College. Previous to her current role, she served as the Associate Director of Wellness (2016-17), Assistant Director of Wellness Programs (2014-16), Assistant Director of IM Sports & Facilities (2011-14) and IM Coordinator (2009-11).
In her role, Rossow oversees all programming related to Wellness and Recreation and works collaboratively with a variety of campus units to coordinate and provide a balanced wellness initiative for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. She is also responsible for program development, marketing/public relations, participant retention, budgets and customer service related to all Wellness and Recreation programming.
During her time at Southern, the Hollis Wellness Center has undergone a complete change, including a redesigned lobby, front desk entry point, all new synergy life fitness piece and increased workout space. The main fitness center has also been redone, including all new flooring and new cardio pieces with WIFI capabilities. The summer of 2019 saw the pool re-lined.
Rossow is a 2007 graduate of Central Michigan University where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science and Coaching. She went on to earn her Masters of Arts in Sports and Recreation at Indiana State in 2009.
Rossow has also received certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED, Professional Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals Pool/Spa Operator, and the National Swimming Pool Foundation.
She is married to her husband, David Rossow.
