Abby Elias has been with Florida Southern College since August of 2015 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Wellness, overseeing FSC's fitness programs. She has worked in campus recreation for over 10 years.
Elias collaborates with colleague and other campus and community partners to provide holistic wellness opportunities to all students, faculty, and staff in the FSC community. Her main focus is to provide health and wellness educational opportunities, including nutrition, fitness, mental health, and stress management.
During her time, she has assisted in multiple facility renovations and improvements, including renovations completed in the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center lobby and fitness center, updating all cardio and strength equipment and expanding all fitness and wellness programming across campus with the addition of a newly appointed Fitness Coordinator.
In addition to these improvements, Elias has also assisted with nutrition education for student-athletes to ensure that they remain healthy and at peak performance.

Elias is a 2012 graduate from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and went on to receive her Masters in Exercise Science from ESU in 2013.
She has also received certifications as a Real Balance 360 Health and Wellness Coach, Lay Responder CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor, Mental Health First Aid USA, National Council for Community and Behavioral Healthcare, Nutrition Specialist Instructor, American Academy of Sports Dieticians and Nutritionists, American College of Sports Medicine, Certified Personal Trainer, and American Council on Exercise, Primary Group Fitness.
