The Florida Southern women's cross country team will be looking to continue its strong season at the 2018 SSC Meet this Saturday at 87:45 a.m. on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.
HARDEEVILLE, SC - Sophomore Hannah Flemming ran an 18:19.3 to finish in eighth place over a 5K race and lead Florida Southern to a third-place finish at the USC Beaufort Sand Shark Invitational Cross Country meet here Saturday morning at the Sgt. Jasper Park. The Moccasins finished with 106 points, trailing the Savannah College of Art & Design, which won with 66 points, and fellow Sunshine State Conference member, Embry-Riddle, which took second with 73 points.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL - Sophomore Addison Cantor turned in a time of 18:20.24 to take fourth place overall to help lead Florida Southern to a second-place showing at the Disney Cross Country Classic held here Saturday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. Cantor was the top Division II runner with Hannah Thompson, an unattached runner, winning at 17:53.87 and two runners from Division I Florida A&M placing second and third. The second-place finish tied for the best showing for Florida Southern in 15 trips to the Disney event.
CHARLOTTE, NC - Hannah Flemming turned the fastest Florida Southern 5K since 2008 with a time of 18:20 to place 23rd overall and lead the Florida Southern women's cross country team to a fifth-place showing overall (second amongst Division II institutions) at the Queens City Invitational held Friday at McAlpine Creek Park. Twenty-nine teams were entered in the event.

LAKELAND, FL – The 2018 season began with a win for the Florida Southern women's cross-country team as the Moccasins took seven of the top 13 positions overall, and had 10 of the top 15 Division II runners at the Holloway Park Preseason Festival. The Mocs overwhelmed the field in their first cross-country meet under new head coach Stephanie Bylander by scoring 34 points to Saint Leo's 80, and though Saint Leo had the individual champion, the Mocs' first seven runners crossed the finish line before the Lions' second.

The Moccasins will be under the direction of first-year head coach Stephanie Bylander who had served as an assistant coach on both the men’s and women’s teams at Florida Southern for the previous three seasons.
MELBOURNE, FL – First-year Moccasin head coach Stephanie Bylander will have her team ranked fourth in the Sunshine State Conference in the league’s inaugural women’s cross country coaches poll. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University was chosen as the top team in 2018 poll as the Eagles received 56 total votes and five first-place votes.
