    LAKELAND, FL - The Florida Southern women's cross country team saw its season come to a close at the NCAA Division II South Region Championship held here Saturday at Holloway Park and Nature Preserve. The Moccasins compiled 260 points to place 11th out of 16 teams.
  • Moccasins Look To Improve On Last Year at NCAA Regional

    LAKELAND, FL - The Moccasins women's cross country team will look to improve on last year's eighth-place finish as Florida Southern College and Central Florida's Polk County Sports Marketing host the NCAA Division II South Region men's and women's cross country championships this Saturday, Nov. 4, here at Holloway Park and Nature Preserve (2402 Holloway Park Drive). The women's 6K will get the day started at 8:30 a.m. with the men's 10K to follow at 9:45 a.m. Admission is free but the park charges $5 for parking.

    BOCA RATON, FL - Sophomore Hannah Nelson and freshman Hannah Flemming placed 15th and 16th, respectively, as Florida Southern finished in fifth place at the Sunshine State Conference Women's Cross Country Championship held here Saturday at the South Central Regional Park.

    The Florida Southern women's cross country team, winner of seven Sunshine State Conference championships – second most in the league – will be looking to capture its first league title since 2006 as the Moccasins travel to South County Park in Boca Raton for the SSC Championship this Saturday. The women's 6K race gets underway at 8:45 a.m., preceded by the men's 8K race at 7:45 a.m.

    TALLAHASSEE, FL - Sophomore Hannah Nelson finished in sixth place in the College Division (non-Division I teams) with a personal-best time of 19:25.0 to lead Florida Southern to a runner-up finish in the Florida State University Invitational held here Friday at the Apalachee Regional Park. The Moccasins totaled 78 points in the 15-team non-Division I portion of the Invitational to finish second behind Tampa, which won with 35 points.

    NEW ORLEANS – Following a seventh-place finish at the Trevecca D2 Showcase, the Florida Southern women's cross country team dropped one spot to number eight after being ranked seventh for three straight weeks in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Regional Poll released Tuesday.

    NASHVILLE, TN - Hannah Nelson finished 19th to pace Florida Southern to a seventh-place finish at the Trevecca Division II Showcase Invitational here Saturday at the Percy Warner Park. The Moccasins totaled 211 points in the race that featured 17 teams.

We are still waiting for power to come on in Colony Arms Apartments, Roberts Academy, and a few FSC houses surrounding the campus. Florida Southern finished in third place in the NCAA Division II portion of the 11-team field.

    NEW ORLEANS – The Florida Southern women's cross country team opens the 2017 season ranked seventh in the preseason South Regional Poll as released Tuesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Moccasins finished in eighth place at the 2016 NCAA South Region Meet. The 2017 NCAA South Regional Championship will be held Nov. 4 at Lakeland's Holloway Park and Nature Preserve.

    The Florida Southern men's and women's cross country teams will get the 2017 season underway this Saturday, Sept. 2, with the Holloway Park Preseason Festival, co-hosted with Southeastern University, at Lakeland's Holloway Park and Nature Preserve. The men's 5K starts the day's festivities at 7:30 a.m. with the women's 3K to follow at 8 a.m. A 5K fundraiser for both FSC and SEU alumni will cap the morning's activities at 8:30.
