    TALLAHASSEE – Malin Wallen had a third-place finish in the 400-IM, Krystal Karas had a pair of top-fives in the sprints, Haley DeGrace had two in the breaststroke events, and Katie Moore had three top-fives in the freestyle to pace Florida Southern in a quad meet at Florida State on Saturday.

    LAKELAND, FLA. - Florida Southern College head swimming coach Andy Robins has announced the hiring of Kendal Casey as the Moccasins’ new assistant swimming coach. Casey joins the Florida Southern staff after a year as a volunteer assistant coach at Florida Atlantic University following her college career at the University of Kentucky where she earned All-SEC and honorable mention All-American honors for the Wildcats.

    WINTER PARK, FLA. – Behind two individual wins from senior Katie Moore in the 500 and 1,000-freestyle, and a pair of relay victories that both included 50-freestyle winner Krystal Karas, No. 17 Florida Southern opened the 2018-19 season by downing Rollins College, 128-77, Friday afternoon. The dual meet victory marked the debut for new Florida Southern head coach Andy Robins.

    The 2018-19 season begins this weekend for the Florida Southern swimming teams as they begin their first year under new head coach Andy Robins with back-to-back dual meets Friday afternoon at Rollins and Saturday morning at Saint Leo. The men's squad is coming off its seventh consecutive top-five finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships, while the women's team placed 18th at last year's national championship meet and has six top-15 finishes in the last eight years.

    Florida Southern College Director of Athletics Pete Meyer has announced the hiring of Andy Robins as the Moccasins’ new swimming coach. Robins comes to Florida Southern with 23 years of college coaching experience and replaces former head coach Mike Blum, who joined the staff at the University of North Carolina in late July.
