  • Moccasins Top No. 1 Adelphi in Home Opener; Reber Picks Up 100th Win

    LAKELAND, FL - Dani Bursinger scored five goals and Florida Southern College women's lacrosse held off a late charge by No. 1 Adelphi to earn a thrilling 17-16 win in the 2018 home opener on Saturday at Moccasin Field. The No. 2 Moccasins (2-0) dominated the majority of the contest, but the Panthers (0-1) scored three times in the final minute and a half to make things close at the end.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse is asking fans to help in the fight against ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease when it hosts No. 1 Adelphi on Saturday at 12 p.m. in the biggest Division II lacrosse matchup of the season. The Moccasins will honor former booster club member Maureen Harrah, who lost her battle with ALS on Jan. 15. Fans are asked to buy special orange t-shirts on Saturday to support the MOj13 Foundation.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Matchup at Tusculum Cancelled

    GREENEVILLE, TN - Due to unplayable field conditions caused by heavy rains in Tennessee, Florida Southern College women’s lacrosse contest at Tusculum has been cancelled. The game was scheduled to be played at 11 a.m., but heavy storms made field conditions unsafe to play for both teams.
  • Moccasins Dominate in Season-Opener at Catawba

    SALISBURY, NC - Six different players tallied at least two goals as Florida Southern College women's lacrosse dominated Catawba, 24-6, in the 2018 season opener on Saturday afternoon at Shuford Stadium. The No. 2 Moccasins (1-0) won their second-straight regular-season opener and improved to 2-0 all-time against the Indians (0-1). Emily Santoli led Florida Southern with four goals, while four other players recorded a hat trick.

    GRAND LAKES, CO - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse has been tabbed as the No. 2 team in the nation in the IWLCA Division II Preseason Coaches Poll. The Moccasins, who were the national runners-up last season and took home the NCAA Division II championship in 2016, finished with 596 points and one first-place vote to come in second behind defending national champion Adelphi.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse head coach Kara Reber revealed her team's 2018 schedule on Monday afternoon. The Moccasins will pay 11 home games this year at the brand-new Moccasin Field at the Barnett Athletic Complex. As always, Florida Southern's slate is filled with matchups against some of the top teams in the country, including a showdown with Adelphi in a rematch of the past two NCAA Division II Championship games.

Much of Polk County went without power for days and even weeks after the storm, and local food pantries saw their supply of food depleted due to the demand for non-perishable food items.

    GRAND LAKE, CO - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse earned an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad award, and 10 different Moccasins were named to the IWLCA Honor Roll, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.
