    LAKELAND, FL - On a day in which Florida Southern College women's lacrosse honored its seven seniors, the Moccasins also clinched their fourth-straight Sunshine State Conference regular-season title with a 23-2 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday afternoon at Moccasin Field. The No. 4 Moccasins (17-1, 5-1 SSC) scored six times in the opening two minutes and saw their senior class combine for 10 goals in the win over the Sailfish (1-14, 0-6).
  • Keesey Named SSC Defensive Player of the Week

    MELBOURNE, FL - After helping lead Florida Southern College women's lacrosse to three victories last week, junior defender Sam Keesey has been named as the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Keesey, who is the fourth different player to earn a weekly award from the SSC this season, finished with 20 draw controls and five caused turnovers in the three wins.
  • Women's Lacrosse Rips Lenoir-Rhyne to Cap Perfect Non-Conference Slate

    HICKORY, NC - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse capped off a perfect non-conference schedule with a 17-5 win over Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday evening at Moretz Stadium. The No. 4 Moccasins (16-1) raced out to a 5-0 lead over the Bears (7-8) and never looked back to move to a perfect 12-0 in non-conference games this year. Aubriana Benedetto scored five goals in the game, all of which came in the first half, and the Mocs limited Lenoir-Rhyne to just eight total shots.
  • Santoli Named to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

    WASHINGTON, D.C. - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse senior Emily Santoli has been named to the midseason watch list for the prestigious Tewaaraton Award, the Tewaaraton Foundation announced on Thursday. The award is giving annually to the top male and female women's lacrosse players in the country, regardless of the NCAA Division in which they play. Santoli is only the third non-Division I student-athlete to be named to the watch list this year. Adelphi's Michele Scannell and Elizabeth Morrison of The College of New Jersey (Division III) were named to the preseason watch list.

    BELMONT, NC - Casey O'Brien scored just 22 seconds into the opening half, and Florida Southern College women's lacrosse picked up its third-stright double-digit victory in a 19-9 win at Belmont Abbey on Friday afternoon at Alumni Field. The No. 4 Moccasins (15-1) score three times in the first three minutes of action and used a 5-0 run later in the first half to jump out to a commanding lead over the Crusaders (11-4) in the penultimate non-conference game of the season.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse scored six times in the opening 10 minutes and rolled past visiting Saint Leo, 18-3, in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday at Moccasin Field. The Moccasins (14-1, 4-1 SSC) dominated the Lions (11-3, 2-1) from start to finish to improve to a perfect 10-0 at home this season and stay atop the Sunshine State Conference standings as the regular season draws to a close.
  • Heavy Storms Alter Tuesday Schedules

    LAKELAND, FL - Due to heavy storms and rain that swept through Central Florida on Tuesday, contests involving Florida Southern College beach volleyball, women's lacrosse, and men's tennis have been postponed. The Moccasin beach volleyball team was slated to play at Tampa at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, but that match has now been moved to April 23 at 7 p.m. in Tampa.

The Moccasins (13-1, 3-1 SSC) dominated the Eagles (7-7, 1-2) from start to finish in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

    WINTER PARK, FL - A pair of goals early in the second half proved to be the difference as Florida Southern College women's lacrosse suffered its first loss of the season, 11-10, at No. 8 Rollins on Wednesday in Sunshine State Conference action. The No. 1 Moccasins (12-1, 2-1 SSC) led by two early on, but the Tars (12-2, 2-1) used a three-goal outburst 10 minutes into the first half to take a lead and would never trail again.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse road contest at Rollins has been moved to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the two schools announced on Monday. The No. 1 Moccasins and No. 8 Tars were originally slated to play at 7 p.m., but both programs agreed to push back the start time.

    MOUNT OLIVE, NC - Marina Jozoko and Emily Santoli combined for 11 goals as Florida Southern College women's lacrosse exploded on offense in a 25-14 rout of Mount Olive on Friday afternoon at the Ray McDonald Complex. The No. 1 Moccasins (12-0) jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first five minutes of action and never looked back as they cruised to an easy win over the Trojans (9-3) for their 27th-straight regular-season win.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse jumped out to a big early lead but had to hold off a furious late rally as it picked up a thrilling 13-12 win over No. 17 Tampa in Sunshine State Conference action on Tuesday at Moccasin Field. The No. 1 Moccasins (11-0, 2-0 SSC) raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first eight minutes of action before the Spartans (8-4, 1-1) found their footing and gave the Mocs perhaps their toughest test of the season.

The No. 1 Moccasins (10-0, 1-0) scored 11 first-half goals and fended off a late rally by the Panthers (9-1, 0-1) to remain perfect on the season and continue their dominance of the Sunshine State Conference.

The No. 1 Moccasins (9-0) used a 10-0 run in the first half to turn a 2-1 edge into an insurmountable 12-1 lead in the blink of an eye, and the Bearcats (1-3) stood no chance as Florida Southern rolled to its 24th-straight regular-season win.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse remained unbeaten with a pair of dominating victories on Monday. The No. 1 Moccasins (6-0) picked up a 23-10 win over Young Harris on Monday morning and followed that up with a 20-0 victory over Westminster in the afternoon. Shannon Gilfedder and Emily Santoli scored four goals each in the first game, while seven different players tallied at least two goals in the final game of the day.

The No. 1 Moccasins (4-0) jumped out to a 3-1 lead over the Griffins (1-1) early in the first 10 minutes of the game behind two unassisted goals by Meghan O'Brien and another by Casey O'Brien.

    LAKELAND, FL - Dani Bursinger scored five goals and Florida Southern College women's lacrosse held off a late charge by No. 1 Adelphi to earn a thrilling 17-16 win in the 2018 home opener on Saturday at Moccasin Field. The No. 2 Moccasins (2-0) dominated the majority of the contest, but the Panthers (0-1) scored three times in the final minute and a half to make things close at the end.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse is asking fans to help in the fight against ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease when it hosts No. 1 Adelphi on Saturday at 12 p.m. in the biggest Division II lacrosse matchup of the season. The Moccasins will honor former booster club member Maureen Harrah, who lost her battle with ALS on Jan. 15. Fans are asked to buy special orange t-shirts on Saturday to support the MOj13 Foundation.

    GREENEVILLE, TN - Due to unplayable field conditions caused by heavy rains in Tennessee, Florida Southern College women’s lacrosse contest at Tusculum has been cancelled. The game was scheduled to be played at 11 a.m., but heavy storms made field conditions unsafe to play for both teams.

    SALISBURY, NC - Six different players tallied at least two goals as Florida Southern College women's lacrosse dominated Catawba, 24-6, in the 2018 season opener on Saturday afternoon at Shuford Stadium. The No. 2 Moccasins (1-0) won their second-straight regular-season opener and improved to 2-0 all-time against the Indians (0-1). Emily Santoli led Florida Southern with four goals, while four other players recorded a hat trick.

    GRAND LAKES, CO - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse has been tabbed as the No. 2 team in the nation in the IWLCA Division II Preseason Coaches Poll. The Moccasins, who were the national runners-up last season and took home the NCAA Division II championship in 2016, finished with 596 points and one first-place vote to come in second behind defending national champion Adelphi.
