    CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. – In the final Division II Women’s Golf Coaches Association National Poll of the fall, the Florida Southern Moccasins are ranked No. 10, and remain one of eight Sunshine State Conference schools in the top-25. The Moccasins have been in the top-10 in all four polls this season.

    MELBOURNE, FL – Florida Southern’s Amanda Gartrell has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week following her runner-up finish in the Saint Leo Invitational. It’s the second time in Gartrell’s career she has won the league’s weekly award, and she’s the first Moccasin golfer to claim one this season.

    CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. - With one tournament remaining on the fall portion of the schedule, the Florida Southern women's golf team is now at No. 6 in the latest edition of the Division II Women?s Golf Coaches Association national poll. Announced on October 22, the poll still has the University of Indianapolis at No. 1, four Sunshine State Conference schools in the top-10, and seven in the top-25.

    SAINT LEO, FL – With individual runner-up Amanda Gartrell shooting a second-round 71, and all five golfers in the 70s for the second day in a row, 5th-ranked Florida Southern finished the 2018 Saint Leo Invitational tied with No. 3 Nova Southeastern for second place, finishing three shots behind No. 4 Barry. It’s the fourth straight tournament in which Florida Southern has been the runner-up.

    SAINT LEO, FL – Sophomore Ashley Zagers opened the Saint Leo Invitational with a career-best one-under par 71, and combined with her teammates to give Florida Southern 12 birdies in the round as the 5th-ranked Moccasins ended day one just two shots behind 4th-ranked Barry with a team score of 295.
  • Perez Earns First Top-Five Finish as Moccasins are Runner-Up to Nova at Shark Invitational

    PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – Freshman Loren Perez shot a one-under par 71 to earn her first career top-five finish, and every Moccasin in the lineup shot a 76 or better to give No. 5 Florida Southern a second-place finish at the Shark Invitational. The Moccasins finished 12 shots behind host Nova Southeastern, and those two schools were the only ones to break 300 in Tuesday’s final round.

    CORAL SPRINGS, FL – In the first regular season poll of the 2018-19 season, the Florida Southern women’s golf team is tied for fifth, maintaining its position from the preseason poll previously announced on September 4. The new edition of the poll, on October 1, still has the University of Indianapolis number one, but this time the Greyhounds are a unanimous pick for that spot with all 13 first-place votes and 300 points.

    BLUFFTON, SC – Tori Higgins shot a team-best two-over par 74 on Sunday, and the Moccasins got a 75 from Amanda Gartrell, but 5th-ranked Florida Southern was unable to hold onto its first-round lead and finished one shot behind No. 16 Lee (TN) in the Battle at Old South.

    BLUFFTON, SC – With all five players in the top-10, all of them with a 74 or better, the 5th-ranked Florida Southern women’s golf team took the lead after one round of the Battle at Old South. The Moccasins used 10 birdies to post a team score of 293 (+5), putting them four shots ahead of No. 16 Lee (TN) and six in front of third-place Catawba.

    CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The Florida Southern women’s golf team will go into the 2018-19 season as the No. 5 ranked team in the country according to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) preseason poll released on Tuesday, September 4. It’s the first time in several years the coaches organization has conducted a national poll, with schools relying on the Golfstat national rankings during recent seasons.
