Curtis Rabe has been the head coach of the Florida Southern water ski teams since 2015, and has led the program to three-straight top-four finishes at the National Collegiate Water Ski Association (NCWSA) National Championships.
Rabe brings nearly three decades of experience to Florida Southern. He has served as a judge and event official throughout the state of Florida, including time as the chief official/judge at the NCWSA's regional and national tournaments and the Collegiate All-Star Tournament.
He also brings an impressive competitive background to the program. Rabe currently competes at the national and regional levels, and was a member of the gold-medal winning U.S. Team at the 2014 Water Ski World Championships. He has competed for the United States in competitions around the world, including Canada, China, France, Germany and Mexico.
Rabe also spent 10 years (1995-2005) as the coach of the Minnesota Water Ski Federation Junior Development program and is currently involved with SteamRoller Productions Ski Show Troup, which produces ski shows for special events throughout Florida.
A 1981 graduate of Auburn University, Rabe earned his masters from the University of Central Florida in 1989.
