LAKELAND, FL - Nearly 100 Florida Southern College student-athletes, coaches, and athletics staff participated in the annual "Out of the Darkness" Community Walk around Lake Hollingsworth on Saturday to benefit the Central Florida chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
PITTSBURGH, PA - On a cold and blustery day with a race time temperature of 42 degrees, Florida Southern finished in 30th place out of 34 teams over a muddy course here at the Bob O'Conner Golf Course at Schenley Park. The Moccasins finished with 814 points with Mitchell Kozik being the first FSC runner to cross the finish line placing 150th out of 261 runners.
PITTSBURGH, PA - The Florida Southern men's cross country team will compete in the NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Bob O'Conner Golf Course at Schenley Park with the men's 10K race beginning at 11 a.m. The Moccasins earned the trip with a third-place finish at the NCAA South Regional meet held Nov. 17 at Lakeland's Holloway Park and Nature Preserve.
NEW ORLEANS - Sophomores Mason Jones and Josh Wagner have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Cross Country All-Region Team. The duo earned a spot on the team by virture of their top-25 finishes at the recent NCAA South Region Championship.
LAKELAND, FL - Sophomore Mason Jones turned in a time of 31:58.63 to finish in fifth place to lead Florida Southern to a third-place showing at the NCAA South Regional Championship held here Saturday morning at the Holloway Park and Nature Preserve. With the third-place finish, the Moccasins earn a trip to the NCAA National Championship on Dec. 1 in Pittsburgh, PA. This marks the 10th time FSC has placed in the top three at regionals and will mark the 10th trip to the national meet.

This is the second consecutive year the event has been held in Lakeland.
MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern's Mason Jones, Josh Wagner, and Dean McGregor have been selected to the All-Sunshine State Conference first-team while Mitchell Kozik was named to the All-SSC second-team as announced today by the league office. Runners that placed 1st to 7th in the SSC Championship were selected to the first-team while runners finishing in 8th to 14th place were named to the All-SSC second-team.
DAYTONA BEACH, FL - Behind three top ten individual finishes, the Florida Southern men's cross country team finished second at the Sunshine State Conference Championship held here Saturday on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The Eagles had runners take the top three spots as Embry-Riddle won their first league title with 26 points, 22 more than the Moccasins (48 points) and 51 more than third place Saint Leo (77 points).
The Florida Southern men's cross country team will be looking to defend its league title and capture the program's 18th Sunshine State Conference Championship at the 2018 SSC Meet this Saturday at 7:45 a.m. on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.
