GAINESVILLE - Senior Bobby Ormsby ran the fastest 5000-meter time in Florida Southern history with a 14:37.76 to finish 15th out of 41 competitors at the Pepsi Florida Relays held here Thursday at the Percy Beard Track. Ormsby's time shaved over two seconds off the previous record of 14:40.47 set by Ben Martucci, now the Moccasins head coach, at the UNF Spring Break Invitational on March 4, 2011. Ormsby now holds five of the top six fastest Moccasins times in the event.
TAMPA - Josh Wagner, Mitchell Kozik, and Warran Grajalez all placed in the top ten in the 5000-meter race at the USF Invitational on Friday while Evan Williams finished ninth in the 1500-meter race.
