    VALDOSTA, GA - The Florida Southern men's tennis team opened its fall season Friday at the ITA Small College Regional Championship, hosted by Valdosta State University. The Moccasins were originally scheduled to begin play last weekend at the Panther Invitational, but that was canceled last weekend due to Hurricane Irma.

  • Ten Men's Tennis Players Named ITA Scholar-Athletes; Mocs Earn All-Academic Team Honors

    SKILLMAN, NJ - Ten Moccasins have been named 2016-17 Scholar-Athletes as announced Tuesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. In addition the Moccasins squad was named an ITA All-Academic Team. The Moccasins finished the 2017 Spring semester with a 3.52 grade point average.

    BRADENTON - Florida Southern dropped a 5-4 decision in a back-and-fourth match to Rollins in the opening round of the 2017 Sunshine State Conference Men's Tennis Tournament held today at the IMG Academy. The 5th seeded Moccasins fall to 10-11 on the season while the No. 4 seeded Tars improve to 11-9.

    MELBOURNE - Pairings for the 2017 Sunshine State Conference Men's Tennis Tournament have been announced and Florida Southern is seeded fifth in the April 20-22 event at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, which is being hosted by Eckerd College. The Moccasins will take on 4th-seeded Rollins at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
  • Men's Tennis Drops Season Finale at Rollins

    WINTER PARK - Florida Southern's dropped a 6-3 match at Rollins to conclude the regular season with a 10-10 record. The loss drops the Moccasins to 3-4 in the Sunshine State Conference and gives Florida Southern the number five seed in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament, April 20-22, at the IMG Academy in Bradenton. The Moccasins will have a rematch with the Tars who will be the fourth-seeded team in the tournament.

The loss drops the Moccasins to 10-8 overall and 3-3 in the SSC while Saint Leo improves to 10-3 and 5-1.

    LAKELAND - Second-ranked Barry University flexed its national ranking and downed No. 38 Florida Southern, 9-0, in Sunshine State Conference men's tennis play here Saturday at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. With the win, Barry's sixth in a row, the Buccaneers improve to 14-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference while the Moccasins fall to 10-6 and 3-2.

    MELBOURNE - Playing just their second match away from home this month, the 38th-ranked Florida Southern men's tennis team traveled to No. 48 Florida Tech on Wednesday and handed the Panthers a 6-3 defeat here at the campus courts. The victory, the Moccasins third in a row and eighth in the last nine matches, improves FSC's record to 10-6 overall and 3-1 in the SSC. The Panthers fall to 12-9 overall and 1-3 in the league.

The win, FSC's third in a row and fifth in their last six matches, improves the team's record to 9-6, while West Alabama drops its sixth straight match to fall to 7-12.

The win, FSC's seventh in its last nine matches, improves the No. 38 ranked Moccasins' record to 8-6 overall and 2-1 in Sunshine State Conference while the 49th-ranked Sailfish drop to 10-4 overall and 0-2 in the SSC.
