  • Florida Southern Finishes the Fall Ranked No. 6 in Men's Golf National Poll

    NORMAN, Okla. – The Florida Southern men’s golf team has ended the fall portion of it schedule ranked No. 6 in the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll released on November 16. The Moccasins maintained their position from the previous poll, and the top six remained virtually unchanged, with five of those schools from the Sunshine State Conference.
  • Moccasins Rise to Fifth on Final Day of Otter Invitational with Tucker Shooting 71

    SEASIDE, CALIF. – Freshman Johnny Tucker shot a one-under-par 71 that was Florida Southern’s best round of the day, and along with a pair of 72s and a pair of 73s, it moved the 6th-ranked Moccasins up three spots in the final round for a fifth-place finish at the Otter Invitational.

    SEASIDE, CALIF. – Seniors Christian Anderson and Michael VanDerLaan each shot a one-under par 71 in round one, while Anderson and junior Chase Ibbotson turned in scores of 73 in the afternoon, to lead No. 6 Florida Southern to an eighth-place tie at the end of day one in the Otter Invitational hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay.

    NORMAN, Okla. – With one fall tournament remaining on the schedule, the Florida Southern men’s golf team is ranked No. 6 in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll. The Moccasins fell four spots from their position in late September as part of a top-10 shakeup that saw only top-ranked Barry hold on to its previous ranking, with three new teams moving into the upper echelon of the poll.
  • Moccasins Move up Three Spots on Final Day of Copperhead Championship Behind Ibbotson’s 70

    INNISBROOK, FL – Chase Ibbotson had Florida Southern’s best round of the day with a one-under-par 70, and three of his teammates had either a 72 or 73 as the 2nd-ranked Moccasins moved up three spots to finish the Copperhead Championship in a three-way tie for ninth.
  • Tucker Leading Moccasin Men's Golf Team in College Debut at Copperhead Championship

    INNISBROOK, FL – Michael VanDerLaan’s one-under-par 70 was the Moccasins’ best score of round one Monday, and Johnny Tucker’s 71 was their best in round two, and together they were the Mocs’ top golfers for the day as 2nd-ranked Florida Southern was tied for 12th at the Copperhead Championship at Innisbrook Resort.

    NORMAN, OK – Following their runner-up finish at the Cougar Invitational earlier this week, the Florida Southern men’s golf team has moved up to No. 2 in the first regular season edition of the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll. The Moccasins are up two spots from their preseason ranking, with Barry University the new No. 1, and the top six teams in the poll all from the Sunshine State Conference.
  • What a Finish: Mocs Shoot -11 in Final Round to Take the Lead Before Carson-Newman Wins Cougar Invitational at the End

    COLUMBUS, GA – Halfway through the first two rounds of the Cougar Invitational, the 4th-ranked Florida Southern men’s golf team was in 11th place, though an eight-shot deficit at that point was far from insurmountable. As long as the Moccasins played well in the final two rounds, new head coach Lee White knew they would still be among the contenders at the end. The Moccasins did indeed play well, putting together a final-round score of -11 to climb all the way into first before Carson-Newman went four-under on the final two holes to finish three shots ahead of Florida Southern.
  • Moccasin Athletics Partners with AFSP to #StopSuicide

    LAKELAND, FL ? Florida Southern College Athletics and its Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) have announced that the Moccasins will partner with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in a year-long effort to raise awareness and donations to help fight suicide.
  • Moccasins Go One-Under in Round Two at Columbus State as FSC Men’s Golf Team Tied for Fourth at Cougar Invitational

    COLUMBUS, GA – Behind a pair of 69s by Chase Ibbotson and Michael VanDerLaan, 4th-ranked Florida Southern climbed steadily up the standings in the second half of Monday’s action at the Cougar Invitational. When all the cards were in, the Moccasins had the best score of the round with a 283 (-1) and ended day one of the tournament tied for fourth out of 17 teams, and only five shots behind first-place Valdosta State.
  • Florida Southern Wraps up Play in Rod Myers Invitational with Wright Top Scoring Moc for the Day

    DURHAM, NC – Freshman Seth Wright turned in a 74 Sunday for the Moccasins’ best score of the day as Florida Southern closed out the Rod Myers Invitational hosted by Duke University with an 11th-place finish in its first tournament of the season.
  • Season Underway for Men's Golf Team as VanDerLaan and Coutsolioutsos Lead Moccasins on Day One at Duke

    DURHAM, NC - Senior Michael VanDerLaan was among the tournament leaders with an opening-round 71, and freshman Max Coutsolioutsos nearly matched that score for the Moccasins with a 72 in the second round as Florida Southern finished day one of the Rod Myers Invitational in 11th place. The Moccasins are the only Division II team in the season-opening tournament hosted by Duke University.

    NORMAN, Okla. – The Moccasins have a new coach and it’s a new season, but the Florida Southern men’s golf team is again ranked among the top five teams in the country. The Bushnell Golfweek Division II Preseason Coaches Poll has been announced, and the Moccasins will open the year ranked No. 4 in the nation. It’s the fifth time in the last six years the Mocs are in the preseason top-five.
