  • Ross and St. Lifer Named to NABC Honors Court

    KANSAS CITY, MO - Former Florida Southern College men's basketball student-athletes Tyler Ross and Luke St. Lifer have been named to 2017-18 NABC Honors Court, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced this week. In order to be eligible for a spot on the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria:

  • Florida Southern Places 169 Student-Athletes on SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll

    MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College place 169 student-athletes on the SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll, the Sunshine State Conference office announced on Tuesday morning, placing the Moccasins second among all 11 SSC member institutions. In addition, the Mocs had a conference-best 60 student-athletes finish with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average for the spring semester, nearly twice as many as second-place Florida Tech (36).
  • Mocs Sign Kiesler to Finalize Men's Recruiting Class

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's basketball head coach Mike Donnelly has announced the signing of Pierce Kiesler as the final piece of the Moccasins four-man recruiting class for the upcoming 2018-19 campaign. Kiesler will join DeAndre Campbell, Kaiyem Cleary, and E.J. Dambreville as the four new incoming Mocs. Campbell and Cleary signed with Florida Southern in April and May, respectively, while Dambreville was the first member of the class to sign back in November.

  • Moccasins Add Cleary to 2018 Recruiting Class

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's basketball head coach Mike Donnelly has announced the addition of Kaiyem Cleary to his roster for the upcoming 2018-19 campaign. Cleary, the second player to sign with the Moccasins in the past week, will come to Florida Southern after spending a season at Redemption Christian Academy in New York. The 6-5 Cleary is a native of Great Britain and is coming off a season in which he averaged 20.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game while connecting on nearly 60.0 percent of his field-goal attempts (58.3).

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's basketball head coach Mike Donnelly has announced the signing of high-school standout DeAndre Campbell for the upcoming 2018-19 campaign. Campbell will join the Moccasins after an outstanding senior campaign at Parkway Central High School in Missouri, where he earned all-district, all-state, and all-metro honors this past season. The 6-1 guard, who is also a football and baseball standout at Parkway Central, averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game as a senior to earn Suburban Conference Player of the Year honors.

The Moccasins (21-11) shot just 28.6 percent and scored 20 points in the first half as the Tritons (26-6) built a 12-point halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory and an appearance in Tuesday's South Region title game.

    ATLANTA - Florida Southern College men's basketball will begin its 30th NCAA Tournament appearance with a first-round matchup against No. 10 Morehouse in the NCAA South Regional at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Forbes Arena. The Moccasins (20-10) are the No. 8 seed in the South Region, while the Fighting Maroon Tigers (25-2) are the No. 1 seed and South Region host. Florida Southern finished third in both the Sunshine State Conference regular-season standings and conference tournament, while Morehouse was the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) regular-season champion, but fell to Claflin in the semifinals of the SIAC Tournament.
