MELBOURNE, FL – Florida Southern College has won the 2017-18 men’s and women’s Sunshine State Conference Mayors’ Cups. The wins mark the 10th time an institution has won both Mayors’ Cups in the same academic year.
SAVANNAH, GA - Florida Southern made history last week as Shona Whitfield and Emily Shoaff became the first Moccasin equestrian team members to compete at the IHSA Zone 5 Championships. Whitfield placed fifth in the advanced walk, trot, canter while Shoaff finished 10th in the novice over fences.
GAINESVILLE - Junior Shona Whitfield was named the reserve high point rider at the University of Florida IHSA Hunter Seat Show on Saturday, becoming the first-ever Florida Southern equestrian team member to be so honored. The Moccasin team placed sixth out of 15 teams in the show.
TALLAHASSEE, FL - Madie Pollack took second placed in the intermediate over fences event as the Florida Southern equestrian team competed Saturday in an event hosted by Florida State University at the Little Pond Farm.

SAVANNAH, GA - Emily Shoaff and Sophie Morgan took honors first-place honors to help the Florida Southern equestrian team to a ninth-place finish out of 16 teams at the two-day Savannah Art & Design Hunter Seat Event. The Moccasins placed 14 riders in 18 events on Saturday and 13 in 18 events on Sunday and closed out the Fall portion of their schedule.
JACKSONVILLE, FL - Paige Tynan took first place in the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter Saturday at the University of North Florida Equestrian Event with Shona Whitfield finishing right behind in second place. In the Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter, Emily McPartlin came in fourth place while Shelby Cain placed fourth in the Beginner Walk/Trot.
