MOUNT OLIVE, SC – With cold temperatures expected in the area, Monday's start time for the Florida Southern baseball game against Mount Olive has been moved up to 2 p.m. The forecast has temperatures dipping into the low 40s by early Monday evening so the two teams agreed to move the start time up from the originally planned 4 p.m. first pitch. In addition, Tuesday's game, originally slated for a 1 p.m. start, has been moved up to 11 a.m. due to a forecast of rain in the afternoon.
Florida Southern is ranked 4th in the NCBWA Division II poll while Mount Olive is ranked 19th. The Moccasins are off to 16-1 start and have won five straight while the Trojans stand at 13-3 with an eight-game win streak.
