Women's Golf Finishes Season Ranked #5 in Final National Poll

The Florida Southern women’s golf team finished the year ranked #5 in the final Golf World/WGCA Coaches’ Poll. Voting was conducted prior to the start of NCAA postseason play, and six of the top eight teams in the poll were from the Sunshine State Conference and took part in the Division II Super Region 2 Tournament. . Lynn's Lead Holds Up at NCAA Division II Super Regional; Florida Southern Finishes Fifth

LAKELAND – Lynn’s tenuous 1-stroke lead over Nova Southeastern held up Tuesday afternoon, Nova managed to stay ahead of Barry, and as it turned out, none of them were ever really threatened on the final day of the NCAA Division II Super Region 2 Tournament. All three advanced to the Division II National Finals, while Rollins, Lander and Armstrong Atlantic all sent individuals in a race that extended into a 2-hole playoff.. Read the full story.

Top Teams Move Up and Down the Board on Monday; Lynn Now Leads Super Region Two by One Shot

LAKELAND – What a day it was at the NCAA Division II Super Region Two Tournament. Round two saw Nova Southeastern, Florida Southern, and Lynn all take the lead at some point; Armstrong Atlantic and Barry each hold down one of the coveted top-three positions; and Rollins stay close enough to one of those spots to keep itself among the contenders too. At day’s end, Lynn had knocked Nova out of first place, Barry had moved into third, and Rollins, FSC and Armstrong weren’t far behind.. Read the full story.
