First National Poll of the Season Has Women's Swimming Team at #5November 14
The Florida Southern women’s swimming team has earned a #5 national ranking in the first College Swimming Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) Division II national poll announced for the 2014-15 season. Moccasins Excel at Florida State With NCAA Qualifying Times in Eight EventsNovember 7
TALLAHASSEE – Florida Southern’s trip to Florida State on Friday for a split meet with the Seminoles produced numerous personal-bests, season-bests, and even more importantly, a whole collection of NCAA qualifying times. The Moccasins also got a win from junior Lauren Reynolds and three very close seconds from junior Alli Crenshaw, while fellow junior Kelsey Gouge and sophomore Cassie Ley helped them achieve NCAA “B” times in three different relays.. TAMPA – Florida Southern’s All-American 200-medley relay team made sure the Moccasins got off to a winning start in a new season Friday night, and a trio of juniors who earned individual All-American awards last year started the same way. Alli Crenshaw, Kelsey Gouge, and Lauren Reynolds all won multiple events, and another junior, Morgan Burns had a first- and second-place finish as Florida Southern defeated Tampa, 157.5-104.5..
