Junior All-Americans Lead Moccasins to Season-Opening Win at Tampa

TAMPA – Florida Southern’s All-American 200-medley relay team made sure the Moccasins got off to a winning start in a new season Friday night, and a trio of juniors who earned individual All-American awards last year started the same way. Alli Crenshaw, Kelsey Gouge, and Lauren Reynolds all won multiple events, and another junior, Morgan Burns had a first- and second-place finish as Florida Southern defeated Tampa, 157.5-104.5.. Women's Swimming Team Takes on Tampa to Open Season

The Florida Southern swimming teams begin their 2014-15 season Friday night in Tampa with the first of seven dual meets for the women and six for the men in addition to one multi-team invitational in December. Head coach Duncan Sherrard has seen both his teams finish in the top-10 at the NCAA Division II National Finals four years in a row, and the Moccasins return all six women and eight men who competed at the finals in 2014.. National Title Contenders Fill Florida Southern's 2014-15 Swimming Schedule

The 2014-15 Florida Southern swimming schedule has been released, and the Moccasins will have a total of four home dates featuring one Division I opponent, a top-10 Division II program, the defending Division III women’s national champion, and both the men’s and women’s junior college national champs. The Moccasins will also have four meets on the road before postseason competition gets underway at the Sunshine State Conference Championships in February, followed by the NCAA Division II National Championships in March..
