SAINT LEO – After a 1-0 win by Florida Southern on Thursday in the first game of the series, the Moccasins and Saint Leo Lions battled through two more 1-0 games when the series resumed on Saturday. Both of these, however, went to the Lions despite fabulous pitching by freshman Brandi Jones and senior Chelsea Oglevie. SAINT LEO – Sierra Lacey’s first career RBI gave Chelsea Oglevie her fourth shutout of the season, with a couple of big assists from catcher Kim Booker. Lacey drove in the only run of the game with a base hit in the top of the fourth inning, Oglevie scattered six hits, and Booker threw out two runners trying to steal as Florida Southern defeated Saint Leo 1-0 on Thursday night.. Tars Take Two From Moccasins Behind Hitting and Pitching of FogleApril 12
LAKELAND – A 4-run first inning put Florida Southern ahead Saturday in the first game of its doubleheader with Rollins, but Niki Fogle came off the bench to help bring the Tars from behind as a hitter.
