Big Hits by Steedley and Burns Key Saint Leo's Sweep of Florida Southern

LAKELAND – The Saint Leo Lions became the newest champions of the Sunshine State Conference Friday afternoon at Barnett Field, but the league’s perennial champs didn’t go down without a fight and came awfully close to spoiling the party. For the second day in a row, Saint Leo had to come from behind for a win, defeating Florida Southern 3-2 in game one of the doubleheader, before holding off a Moccasin rally in the bottom of the seventh for a 4-2 win in game two.. On The Ropes, Saint Leo Comes Back for 11-Inning Win Over Florida Southern

LAKELAND – The 22nd-ranked Saint Leo Lions may be closing in on their first ever Sunshine State Conference title, but Thursday night at Barnett Field, Chelsea Oglevie and the Florida Southern Moccasins nearly knocked them off track. The Lions, however, pushed across the tying run in the top of the sixth inning, and went on to score four times in the top of the 11th to pull out a 5-1 victory that leaves them one win shy of the league title.. Sullivan Pitches Rollins Past Florida Southern in Game One; Fogle's Pitching and Hitting Complete the Sweep

WINTER PARK – The pitching of Stephanie Sullivan and a 6-run third inning were enough to give 22nd-ranked Rollins a 6-0 win over Florida Southern in game one Saturday, before Niki Fogle provided the pitching and a lot of the hitting too in an 8-1 win over the Moccasins in game two.. Florida Southern and Rollins Combine For Only Five Hits; Tars Use One to Score Twice for 2-0 Win

WINTER PARK – Pitchers Chelsea Oglevie and Niki Fogle thoroughly dominated the game Friday night, but Rollins second baseman Brittany Johnson came through on the one scoring chance either team had.
