LAKELAND – The Saint Leo Lions became the newest champions of the Sunshine State Conference Friday afternoon at Barnett Field, but the league’s perennial champs didn’t go down without a fight and came awfully close to spoiling the party. LAKELAND – The 22nd-ranked Saint Leo Lions may be closing in on their first ever Sunshine State Conference title, but Thursday night at Barnett Field, Chelsea Oglevie and the Florida Southern Moccasins nearly knocked them off track.
