Six FSC Athletic Teams Assist in Race for the CureJanuary 23
LAKELAND – On Saturday, January 18, the Lakeland community hosted the third annual Susan G. Komen Florida Suncoast Polk Race for the Cure, which started and finished at Tiger Town. Among the over 250 volunteers from Florida Southern College were the Moccasin women’s soccer, tennis, golf and lacrosse teams, as well as the volleyball and men’s soccer teams. Abrahamsen Earns All-South Region Honors Once AgainNovember 27
Florida Southern senior center back Alyssa Abrahamsen has been selected to the Daktronics Division II All-South Region Team for the second year in a row. Soccer Teams Once Again Honored by NSCAA for Academic AchievementNovember 21
For the second year in a row, both of the Florida Southern soccer teams have been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for their academic success during the 2012-13 school year. The NSCAA Team Academic Award is given to those programs who were able to maintain a team grade point average of at least 3.00 for a full academic year.. Read the full story.
Florida Southern's Season Ends With 3-0 Loss to Rollins in SSC SemifinalsNovember 8
MIAMI SHORES – Erin Moseley turned in a brilliant performance for Florida Southern in its Sunshine State Conference Tournament semifinal match against #21 Rollins, but the Tars used two first-half goals and one very early in the second half to win 3-0.
