Rob Koehler

Rob Koehler, a former volunteer assistant from Long Beach State University, joins the Florida Southern volleyball staff for the 2012 season as an assistant coach.

Koehler will serve as the Moccasins recruiting coordinator and will also be in charge of the team's defense.

Including his coaching experience at Long Beach State, Koehler has a total of seven years of coaching experience within the youth and club level across the nation. Koehler most recently coached the Cal Juniors Volleyball Club.

Koehler a 2008 graduate of Carthage College, in Wisconsin, served as an assistant coach with his alma mater before taking over as the boys’ varsity head coach at Waukesha West High School. He then spent a year at Marquette as the assistant coach for the women’s volleyball program.

While at Carthage College, Koehler was a two-time All-American as a middle blocker, and was part of Carthage teams that advanced to the NCAA Div-III national championship game twice. Koehler left Carthage as the career leader in total blocks, block assists and blocks per set. His 1.11 blocks per set remains the school record.
