Jeremy Duerr

After playing and coaching in Ohio for the past seven years, Jeremy Duerr joins the Florida Southern men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach.

A graduate of Malone University in Canton, Oh, Duerr played his final two seasons at point guard with the Pioneers. He started in all but four of the games he played at Malone.  Duerr led the team in assists in his two years by amassing 154 assists. He also averaged 7.5 points per game. Before playing at Malone, Duerr had been a part of the basketball squad at Ashland University in Ashland, Oh.

Prior to joining the FSC staff, Duerr was the assistant coach at his alma mater under Tim Walker where he worked with both the varsity and junior varsity teams.  Duerr was involved in all aspects of a Malone program that has recently made its transition to NCAA Div. II.

Along with coaching at Malone, Duerr was a college advisor in the guidance counseling office at McKinley High School through an AmeriCorps program.

Duerr holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and is currently working on his Master of Arts in Education in School Counseling.
