Katie Hammerer

AS A SOPHOMORE (2012) … IWLCA Academic Honor Roll; D2ADA Academic Achievement Award; IWLCA All-South Region 2nd Team; SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll; Team MVP… started at goalkeeper in all 16 games last season (one of four players on the team to do so), held a 12-4 record as goalie … faced 298 shots, saved 108 and allowed 119 goals … earned a save percentage of .472 … had a goals-against-average of 10.33 for the season which was 11th best in NCAA Div. II for all of the 2012 season … tallied 14 saves two different times, in losses against #4 Lock Haven (3/13) and #3 Rollins (4/11) … had four game with 10 or more saves … picked up a total of 29 ground balls on the season … season-high five ground balls against Lock Haven (3/13).

PRIOR TO FSC
Hammerer attended St. Mary’s college of Maryland in 2009-2010 … she played one season of lacrosse … played in six games (started two).

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Leonardtown High School (2009) ... Played lacrosse and field hockey … first team all county in 2007, 2008, and 2009 … team captain in 2008 … Washington Post player of the year  in 2008 … was named to the Mid Atlantic team in 2008.
