Doug Gordin has been the Moccasins’ men’s golf coach since 1996. In his first season, he guided the Moccasins to a national championship and he followed that with Division II titles in 1998, 1999 and 2000. He was named National Coach of the Year in those four championship seasons by the Golf Coaches Association of America. In addition to the four championship finishes under Gordin, the Moccasins were second in 2001 and third in 2002. He’s coached three individual national champions at FSC – Matt Saglio in 1999, Jeff Klauk in 2000 and Steve Sokol in 2001. Altogether he’s produced 33 Moccasin All-Americans. His teams have won five Sunshine State Conference titles and finished second three times. Gordin was inducted into the GCAA Hall of Fame in 2001.
