    LAKELAND, FL – The Florida Southern College community is saddened at the loss of former Moccasin baseball assistant coach John Rodda, who passed away on Monday at the age of 62 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

  • Heavy Storms Alter Tuesday Schedules

    LAKELAND, FL - Due to heavy storms and rain that swept through Central Florida on Tuesday, contests involving Florida Southern College beach volleyball, women's lacrosse, and men's tennis have been postponed. The Moccasin beach volleyball team was slated to play at Tampa at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, but that match has now been moved to April 23 at 7 p.m. in Tampa.
  • Florida Southern Inducts Five New Hall of Famers

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College inducted five new members to its Athletics Hall of Fame on Thursday evening during its 16th annual Hall of Fame Banquet at Jenkins Field House. The five-member class included Pete Meyer (baseball), Jordan McAfee (volleyball), Matt Stauch (men's golf), Mary O'Sullivan (women's swimming), and David Jenkins (honorary).

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College Athletics will place five new inductees into the FSC Athletics Hall of Fame during its annual Hall of Fame Banquet on Thursday, March 22. This year’s class includes three former Moccasin student-athletes, a former head coach, and one honorary inductee.
  • 76 Moccasins Named to Fall SSC Honor Roll

    MELBOURNE, Fla. - A total of 651 student-athletes, inlcuding 76 from Florida Southern College, have been named to the 2017 Fall Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll; it was announced Wednesday, March 7th by Commissioner Ed Pasque. A total of 142 student-athletes carried a perfect 4.00 grade-point average for the fall semester.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's and women's basketball kick off their home schedules tomorrow night against Sunshine State Conference rival Palm Beach Atlantic, and the evening is set to be filled with special events, giveaways and a very special halftime recognition. The action gets underway with the women's game at 5:30 p.m., followed immediately by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.

College officials anticipate that FSC will be the first school in Florida to join the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), a newly formed governing body for the emerging world of competitive college video gaming.

    With the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex not yet ready to host a match following Hurricane Irma the Florida Southern women’s soccer game against Rollins College scheduled for Wednesday night in Auburndale has been moved to Rollins College in Winter Park. That game will now be played as part of a doubleheader with the Florida Southern men’s soccer match that was already scheduled for Wednesday night at Rollins.

We are still waiting for power to come on in Colony Arms Apartments, Roberts Academy, and a few FSC houses surrounding the campus. We will continue to communicate updates as they become available and will accommodate any student who lives in one of these locations if power is still not restored when they return to campus.
