The Florida Southern women's swim team was one of 44 NCAA Division II women's team recognized as an All-American Scholar Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of American. The Moccasins' team grade point average of 3.44 was sixth highest overall and the second highest GPA of any Sunshine State Conference team.
The College of Saint Rose posted the highest GPA at 3.62 while the Northern State University was second with a 3.51 team GPA. Next was C.W. Post Long Island University at 3.48 in third and Saint Leo University at 3.46 in fourth. The University of the Incarnate Word was fifth with a 3.45 team GPA.
The Team Scholar All-American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
