Softic Reaches Quarterfinals Of ITA Regional

Top-seeded Senka Softic reached the quarterfinals of the ITA South Regional at Valdosta, Ga., Friday with a pair of 6-1, 6-0 wins over West Florida Jaqualine March and Barry's Caroline Wendling.
Softic faces Florida Tech's Natalia Ramos in Saturday's quarterfinal match. A win would put her in the semifinals later on Saturday against the winner of the match between Lynn's Maggie Ekert and Valdosta State's Tina Trautmann. The championship match is set for Sunday.
Veronika Kovacikova is the only other Moccasin still in the tournament, playing in the quarterfinals of the consolation round Saturday.
