Lady Mocs Picked For Fourth In Preseason Poll

Silvie Dittertova was a 2nd-team All-American and NGCA Freshman of the Year last season

With five of his top six golfers, including national Freshman of the Year Silvie Dittertova, returning from last season, coach Robbie Davis's Lady Mocs are ranked fourth in the Golf World/NGCA Division II Preseason Coaches Poll.

Last season Dittertova was second on team in stroke average (76.36) and finished in a tie for 25th at the NCAA Division II Championship, where the Moccasins placed fifth.  Marianne Andersson had a 76.96 stroke average and tied for 21st at the Division II Championship.  Kim Ulander, a two-time first-team All-Sunshine State Conference selection, had a 77.43 stroke average.  Rounding out the top six from last season are Emily Flanigan (78.37) and M.J. Audette (78.68).

Defending national champion Nova Southeastern is tops in the preseason poll with 297 points and 10 first-place votes.  Rollins is second with 281 points and one first-place vote.  Grand Valley State is third with 269 points and the remaining first-place vote.  The Moccasins have 242 points for their fourth-place selection.

The Lady Mocs open their season Sept. 21-22 at the West Florida Invitational.
