Larson Places 103rd At D-II Championship
Eric Larson battles through the snow at the D-II ChampionshipWith a temperature of 25 degrees, snow already on the ground and snow falling as the meet began, the Moccasins' Eric Larson finished 103rd at the NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Championship at Spokane, Wash., Saturday.
Larson's time over the 10K course was 33:35. He had qualified for the championship as an indivdual with his third-place finish at the South Regional Nov. 5.
In his final race for FSC, the senior from Pensacola was the top finisher among those representing the Sunshine State Conference. He finished ahead of SSC and South Regional champion Moses Kirui of Florida Tech, who was the final runner in a field of 187. Larson also finished ahead of all of SSC team champion Tampa's runners. The Spartans were 24th in a field of 24 teams.
