FSC Athletic Trainer Honored By University of Michigan

Al Green, FSC's head athletic trainer, is not performing his normal duties this weekend. Instead he is being honored by his alma mater, the University of Michigan, with a Career Achievement Award from Michigan's School of Kinesiology.
The award is given to a graduate of the School of Kinesiology who has shown outstanding professional and personal achievement throughout his career in his chosen field. Green received his bachelor's degree from Michigan in 1973 and served as the Wolverines' assistant athletic trainer from 1974-79. He left Michigan to become the head athletic trainer at the University of Kentucky, where he served for 17 years.
Green will be recognized at a banquet in Ann Arbor tonight and at Saturday's football game against Purdue. He has been FSC's head athletic trainer since 2007. He also is an associate director of athletics and head of athletics marketing and promotions at FSC. In 2004 he was inducted into the National Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame.
